Sizing and Measuring for Children's Clothing

Holiday shopping for your niece or nephew, but don't have their measurements? Trying to find the perfect holiday outfit for your little one online? Love the European styles, but translating the sizes give you a migraine? Before you get those fingers tap tap tapping out your orders; let us help you do some prep work first. It might just save a few upsets and a whole lotta "me time" in line at the post office.

Following these tips for measuring will help insure you get the right numbers:

  • Height: While wearing shoes, stand with heels against a wall and measure from the top of the head to the floor.
  • Head: Place tape measure around forehead and the widest part of head.
  • Bust/Chest: Measure under the arms around fullest part of the chest, and across the shoulder blades.
  • Waist: Measure around natural waistline keeping the tape comfortably loose.
  • Hips: Measure across the fullest part of the bottom at the top of the legs.
  • Shoes: Standing with shoes off, measure from the heel to the tip of the longest toe.

Now that you have the correct measurements, do you know what size range to pick among all the labels? Visit the Ju Ju Beane Boutique to review our clothing and shoe charts, look up size ranges and translate United States, United Kingdom, and European sizes. Armed with the details, you can be sure everyone is happy - most of all you!
